For Your Safety...

Here's our new normal . . .

Things that you need to know before class:

Mask Requirement: You must wear a mask when you enter either location. 
  • Downtown: As soon as you enter the premises of the Boathouse, your mask must be on. 
  • Tarrytown: When you walk in the door, your mask should be on.

Studio Specific Setup:
  • Downtown: The classes are outdoor only, weather permitting, on a beautiful shaded balcony overlooking Lady Bird Lake. 
  • Tarrytown: Most of the classes are held indoors. Indoors, we have spaced the rowing machines out at least 6 feet apart with plexiglass dividers and 4 air purifiers throughout the studio space. We hold a few, specifically marked, outdoor classes in our lovely parking lot right out front where machines are at least 6 ft apart. 

Ventilation / HVAC Use
  • Downtown: We are outside on the balcony and we are at the mercy of Texas weather. No fans are used. Be prepared! 
  • Tarrytown: We will use the AC up until we start the class and after the class to ventilate the space. No AC or fans will  be used during your allotted class time. There are 4 Hepa filter air purifiers running, at full speed, in all classes and outside of class times. 

Hydration Station:
  • Downtown: We have access to filtered water for your water bottle refill, or we will sell you a water bottle for $1. 
  • Tarrytown: The water machine is available for your water bottle refill. It's ideal that you bring a full water bottle to class! We also have water bottles for sale for $1 as well.

You should bring a towel to wipe your sweat.
  • Things are often extra sweaty with these changes. We do not provide towels at either location.

Weather Woes
  • If you're signed up for an outdoor only class and there's inclement weather, we'll alert you via email at least one hour prior to the class time if we have to cancel the class.
    • We try our best to give you a 12 hour heads up, but Texas weather is tricky, y'all. 
    • If we do not plan to cancel, you will not receive an email. 
  • You'll never be charged for a cancelled class, due to inclement weather.
  • Outdoor classes: All Downtown classes. Tarrytown classes marked with *Outdoor* on the title of the class. 

We are sanitizing your station before each session. 
Your coach will give your machine a fresh wipe down before each class. If you want to wipe your own machine again before you use it, we support that and will provide the wipes needed. We will also ask that you wipe your machine down after you class has finished.

Recent Updates:
10/1/20: The Tarrytown location now has 9 possible machines available to book. We have 4 air purifiers running at full speed at all times in the studio. 

8/21/20: We're back open at our Downtown location! Maximum capacity 5. 6 feet of space between each machine. Outdoor only! Book your machines, early. Classes are filling quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be taking temperatures upon entry? No, we will not be taking temperatures upon entry. We will have a station for coaches to take their temperature but customers will not be required. We are trusting that you WILL NOT attend if you do not feel well. 

What happens if we forget our mask/face covering? We have disposable masks available for purchase. However, you simply need to cover your mouth and nose when off of your machine. So, if you have an extra t-shirt or towel, that will be fine as long as you use that as a face covering each time you're up off of your machine.

Can I use the filtered water dispenser? Yes, at Tarrytown only. There is no water dispenser available at our Downtown location, currently. We highly recommend you bring your own water (and enough of it) for your class at either location, however. We will have water bottles available for sale for $1. 

Will you have disposable cups? No. We will be selling water bottles for $1 if you forget your water.

What if I don't feel well, last minute before a class? We will waive all penalties on our 12-hour cancellation policy if you decide last minute that you need to cancel due to feeling unwell. Please email us as soon as you know you will not be attending class and we'll help. 

I don't feel comfortable returning just yet. Can I save my passes for later? Yes, email us after the expiration date and we'll help. 


I don't feel comfortable returning just yet. Can I continue to pause my membership? Absolutely. We require you to email us prior to any pause, but we can keep your account paused for as long as necessary to make you feel comfortable. Make sure to email us asap if you have an active membership and you'd like to pause your membership.
