Amazing intro class! I'd never been on a rowing machine before, and everything was explained thoroughly with an emphasis on form and fundamentals to help protect your body while getting in your workout.

I had been curious about this class for a while but a bit intimidated to try it. I finally went for it and I’m glad I did. The instructor was welcoming and helped me feel comfortable.
The class is challenging but you have a lot of control in doing what’s right for you and your body. I’ll be back.

Know before you Rō
Can I take a Rō Fitness class with no rowing experience?
YES! Every class can work for people of all experience and fitness levels. Your coach will show you proper form, and then the intensity will ramp up throughout the workout, while the coach gives you individual tips on how to improve the form and intensity of your workout.
What kinds of classes do you offer?
Cardio Rō is our classic high-intensity interval based class. Another great class to start with is our Long and Low classes, these will allow you to focus on form with lower, meditative rates. We recommend trying Sculpt and Rō after you've gotten the rowing form down!
Any classes just for newbies?
Join our INTRō class, Sundays at 8am at our Tarrytown Studio. Founder and owner, Chelsea Moore, offers these FREE classes to work on form or give this new sport a try.
What do I wear?
Dress to sweat, and wear sneakers! Especially at our Downtown studio - those classes are held outdoors on the balcony of Waller Creek Boathouse (weather permitting!). Our Tarrytown studio is indoors with the A/C pumping. Don't worry, you'll still work up a sweat. Bring your own water bottle to fill at the studio.
